Gutter Cleaning/Whitening

cropped-web-logo.jpgIn the spring and fall months, falling leaves, pine needles, and debris can clog your gutters, causing water to overflow or sit stagnant.   Overflowing water onto the ground can compromise your foundation, and even get into your basement. In winter months standing water due to clogged gutters can cause damage to your soffits, roof and also contribute to the formation of ice dams if temperatures fall below freezing overnight.

Having your gutters cleaned on a regular basis can prevent costly repairs.  Depending on your home’s surroundings, gutter clean-outs should be done annually, semi-annually, or quarterly.  To determine how often you should clean out the debris in your gutters, look to see how many trees or other overhanging shrubbery exist around your home.  If the foliage is dense, you may need a quarterly cleaning.  If your home is relatively free of trees and shrubery, you may be okay with an annual cleaning.  If you’re not sure, we would be glad to check the gutters and provide a recommendation.

Not only can we clean your gutters, but we can do gutter whitening and restore them to their original gleam! Clean shiny gutters add major curb appeal to your home.

Our gutter whitening service can scrub away those stains, leaving the bright surface sparkling!  Mold and mildew are not only distasteful looking, but also harmful to your home.  Zebra stripes can be difficult to remove without the correct detergent and equipment. Zebra Stripes is a term that comes from the drip or line marks that seem impenetrable on your gutters.  These are caused by electrostatic bonding, and reside at the oxidation level of your gutter. Painted gutters can pose additional headaches for a homeowner trying to improve the appearance of their gutters.
